About Jackie:
She wakes up every morning from her vibrant dreams with a desire to paint everything in sight. Jackie is a twenty-three year old
Latina girl who's sole purpose in life is to paint. Well that and to listen to hip hop.
Jackie is from Orange County, CA and proceeded to get out of there as soon as she finished high school. Funny, that as soon as she graduated from the University of San Francisco, she moved back. How's that for irony.
But Jackie now finds her current location to be inspirational. Much of the inspiration to due to her hilarious grandma and her dramatic dog, Jazz.. Jackie wants to be able to paint and create everyday for a living. So we'll see how that goes.
Jackie's inspirations are many but let me break it down for you (In no particular order):
Basquiat, Dondi, Mexican Folk Art, Graffiti, her family, L.A., Mexican symbols, her culture, movies and most of all music.
Music interest (again many: not in order, it would be a miracle if I could do that):
Talib Kweli, Jedi Mind Tricks, Blackalicious, Jurassic 5, Akwid, Mos Def, The Beatnuts, dead prez, Z-Man, Common, Nas, Manu Chao, Outkast, Lenny Kravitz, Cypress Hill, and Dilalated Peoples.

About Moe Moe:
Mingalabah. Moe Moe is a 20 something Burmese girl who grew up in 3
different countries and keeps moving as she keeps growing older. Moe Moe lived in Yangon, Burma till she was 10 and then moved to Singapore with their family. From there, she moved to California when she turned 18. California was where she was fully able to explore her creative side and she also met Jackie, the other half of Moe y Yo!
Moe Moe grew up as a tomboy but grew to love girly things when she came to California. Don't ask, it must have been the California sun.
Upon arriving to study in U.C. Berkeley, Moe Moe's creative side grew in favor of jewelry making, which started out as a good idea as it was a cheap way to express herself, while keeping herself in fashion. Soon, however, friends started asking for the earrings and she gave them out as gifts. Then, in March 2004, she made her first sale.
Moe Moe was once stifled of her creativity as she was in training to join her family in their engineering professions (Dad= civil Engineer, Mom= Electrical Engineer, Sister= Chemical Engineer).
Moe Moe plans to publish a novel one day, design clothes of her own, once she learns how to sew and draw, and also to overthrow the Burmese Military Government, but she can only do one thing at a time and here is her first step at Moe Y Yo!
