We'll Be The Passenger, We'll Ride Through The City Tonight, See The City's Ripped Insides...

So apparently I have taken a long sabatical. I have been really busy since I last wrote. Busy with my mom being really sick and in the hospital, having to put my dog down, going on a five day road trip across country and yes, the ever present Holiday present making. Since most of these things have passed, I don't really want to re-hash what happened, especially not with putting my dog, Jazz down. It was and is just too painful. It was very unexpected and so so hard although I know that it has and will get better with time. Its just definitely weird to have such a personable animal that you take care of every day and then to one day no longer have that.

On to more fun things- my roadtrip was awesome. Ten states in five days people. Let's list them: Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Tennesee, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. It was madness and let me tell you, Texas took up most of the time! I knew Texas was big and yet I was still surprised when I would look at the signs and see, yes, we are still in Texas. The most exciting was being in Memphis, Tennesee and seeing Graceland. It was hilarious, although there were some die hard fans there who didn't quite think it was as cheesily awesome as we did. To them it was serious Elvis business. I am sure I will have lots of stories in the coming posts.. Maybe I'll let them trickle out over a short span of time, just for everybody's amusement. I might even call it, Jackie's lessons from the road...
