Some purses that were for sale at Bazaar Bizarre (I was so sad when I sold the Evolve one, I loved it)
What to say after such a whirlwind weekend? Bazaar Bizarre was great- thanks to everyone who came out in the pouring rain. Melinda and I did brilliantly (I wish I was British, then maybe I could pull of the brilliant thing- ehh). I did better than I ever or could have hoped for. I told myself that even if I didn't sell anything, that it was just good to get exposure. Who knew people would like my stuff (damn am I like Sally Field's or what- they love me, they really love me!). Plus I have some stores lined up- where I will try to get my wares up in there.
And then I went on a short trip to Vegas. And damn was it cold. I am not a cold type of person, I front like I am. But honestly, I could freeze in 50 degree weather- and guess what, it flippin' snowed on the strip. Crazy, huh?
So here are some things I recommend to do in Vegas:
- see Love- the Cirque Du Soleil show set to Beatles tunes. I could have watched it forever. I am serious- who doesn't love a little breakdancing and other un-orthodox moves to Beatles songs.
- Eat at Sushi Roku. Hands down the best sushi I have ever had in my life.
- Go to the Rio to see Prince. Ok, ok I didn't get to see him perform. But I did see his crazy poster all over the Rio, plus his symbol on the side of the hotel. That will have to tide me over for awhile.
- Play the Wheel of Fortune slots- my favorite because they yell at you "WHHHEEELLL OFFFF FOOORTTTUUUNNNEE!'' And dammit, I love it when I get to spin.
the first cigar box- the finish looks weird- but its only because I just sprayed it with gloss
Ok, so the tally is pretty much the same- but here it goes:
43 painted purses
2 painted and glossed cigar boxes
3 cigar boxes waiting to be painted
12 bangles that are all glossy now
and now tags and shirts that are waiting to be made
oh and bags for people to carry their merchandise too
and I am getting tired now- but not to worry, I still have a cake to make- ha!

So here is the Bazaar Bizarre info for those of you who slept on it the first time-
Date and Time: December 16th (yep this SATURDAY) 11AM- 7PM
Place: Shrine Auditorium Expo Center- 700 W 32nd St, Los Angeles
Cost: 2 bucks (you can't beat that with a bat!)
What's going on: lots of cool vendors like Melinda and I, cool music, a bar and cafe upstairs (cause nothing says Happy Holidays like alcohol at 11am), cool raffles and prizes (one of the big prizes is a VIP weekend COACHELLA pass- someone win that and take me!), a cake walk with a cake by yours truly and a clothing swap.
One of the 43 that have been painted
Here are the Bazaar Biazarre stats:
43 purses painted
2 waiting to be finished
12 graffiti bangles made
5 cigar boxes sanded and waiting to be painted
tags to be made and things to be packed up
1 cake to be made for the Bazaar Bizarre cake walk- I am thinking it will be a big spray can (I have an obsession with those)
Ah, the lone Robot
The colorful Christmas tree
So the tree doesn't look as colorful in this picture, but when there was no flash then all you could see was a huge colorful mess. But then again- that sounds pretty good to me- maybe I will post that tommorow.
What I am watching: One Tree Hill- on Netflix (horrible, I know- but its mindless and keeps me from overthinking myself- I do that a lot when I am painting)
What I am eating: Skinny cow ice cream
What I am painting: another purse- you'll see later, later
What I am thinking: I never thought I would say this- but I am getting tired of painting purses night after night
What I am listening: A mix my cousin Anthony-Ray gave to me- Bonnie Prince Billy's song "Southside of the World" is amazing.
Ok so I really wanted to post a picture of my Christmas tree in all of its colorful glory- but the picture just doesn't do it justice. I think I will try again tonight. But in the meantime, check out the koi above and my playlist for the International Mixtape Project for December below:

what I got done this weekend
some ornaments that I made for my tree (they make me laugh)
So Melinda and I had a very fruitful weekend. I now have 35 purses done! Fifteen more to go and then some cigar boxes- because apparently I love being overly ambitious. We'll see what I get done though.
Here's a little taste of this weekend
- painted some purses
- painted some beads for a collaboration project that Melinda and I are doing
- sushi breaks are awesome
- as are Purple Rain viewings (and Can't Hardly Wait and Moulin Rouge)
- 50% off paint brushes are my favorite
- also my favorite are girls who have the whole faux hawk, button down shirt, sweater vest, tie and converse look
- the Christmas tree is up in all of its glory- its soo colorful (almost ridiculously so- of thats even possible)
- oh and my brother burned me a copy of Billy Idol's Christmas cd- seriously there is nothing better than his weird voice singing a Blue Christmas :).
