On Sunday I saw Idlewild- the musical with Outkast. I know what the critics have said- that its a long music video and that the storyline is weak. I totally disagree. Yes, it was like a long music video, but its a musical people- what did you expect. And besides I love music videos and they are hard to find now cause you know MTV doesn't play music videos anymore. As for the storyline- I liked it. Ever since seeing this movie, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. Thinking about the lush colors and the costumes and the the whole 30s prohibition era. Its a visually rich movie which is good for the artist in me. It has served as inspiration for some new things to come. I am looking to start some paintings soon. I'll let you know what transpires...
