I've Been Thinking Of Everything, I Used To Want To Be, I've Been Thinking Of Everything, Of Me, Of You And Me...

So I've been tagged by the poetry pusher herself, Moe Moe, and so as not to get called out again on her blog I will finally post a poem. I hope to live up to these poetry expectations, but alas I am no poet. So here is my simple attempt.

Long drives make me ache for you
I take furtive glances at my phone
As if you would call me
As if you could call me

The sun may be shining and the sky may be blue
But I don't gaze like I used to
My eyes pick out facts not dreams
They tell it like it is
And refuse to hope

They keep the memories at bay
So I can keep on
I fill the void with noise and mindless chatter
Noise so that I may find peace

I exhaust myself so that I can forget about you
Forget your laugh and smile that reached your eyes
So tired that I forget
Forget the warmth that was you

You must have knocked your head on something when you told me you thought it wasn't very good, because it is too!!
It oozes in emotions... it oozes and brings up all the imagery you mentioned... I love it!

Thank you for participating in my weekend poetry poem!
