Apparently even commisioned art on blank walls is going to be censored and given guidlelines so that nothing resembles graffitti. Nevermind that fact that graffitti is a form of art- because the police chief says it doesn't look like art to him. And since he is the police chief and an art critic- business owners in Boyle Heights may soon have the option of white washing their walls or having an art group picked by the city to redo a mural on their walls. Some rules are just dumb. Don't our officials have anything better to worry about? Honestly people... You can read the article here.
