Nothing is For Sure, Nothing is For Certain, Nothing Lasts Forever...

I was thinking today that dang it is already the middle of September. Pretty soon it will be Halloween and then Thansgiving and then Christmas (apparently retail stores start thinking this as soon as June- but whatever) I realize that as I get older- the time goes quicker and things meld together readily.
When I was in school, dates were clearly defined as deadlines. This date was when a project was due, this date was the beginning of the year and so on. I dont have so much defined time any more. I have time that I schedule and instead of doing things when I am supposed to, I make time for the things that I want to do or have to be done. But with that freedon comes the realization that my time is definitely more valuable now. You have to make things happen cause they things don't just spontaneously happen because you hope they will.
So my lesson today (brought to you by the letter P and number 8- Sesame Street reference to those who are confused) is that I am in charge of what I do and when I do it. It may seem obvious to you who have been at this for awhile. But I am still getting used to calling the shots. I have been to used to doing things because I felt a strong sense of obligation. But I have begun to feel that lessen and I hope to come to a happy medium one of these days. One of the many goals that I am sure will fall into place once I forget to worry about the unimportant details of life.
