I Walk Down These City Streets, Just A Lonely Girl Inspired...

A bittersweet birthday.....

Dear Dad (Moni)-

Happy Birthday, Dad. Hope you get to have some sushi and maybe where you are they don't get mad when you order too much. Not like that mean lady at Bennihannas (she probably wonders what happened to you and Joe). Or at least about you- you know how Joe likes sushi.

I went and visited your niche this morning and it was crazy cold- did you see me. I left you flowers and no I didn't sing you happy birthday- you knew I already told you earlier. You would have been 49 (almost 50). Dang, dad, why couldn't you have stayed until you were 50. Cause then you could bend and stretch like Sally O'Malley(SNL)! (lol).

The year is almost up and I hate that you won't be here for Christmas. Shopping for presents isn't as fun without you. We were geniuses at the last minute gift giving thing (Lauren isn't- but she makes up for it with her excellent wrapping skills).

It kinda sux cause I feel alone sometimes (lots of times) even if there are people around. I miss that we used to backtrack together. No one will go to stupid places with me. Apparently, they all have opinions and likes and dislikes (I hate those kinds of people-lol). Want to go to the swap meet this weekend, dad? or maybe to the movies? Come on, I'll help you clean upstairs.... Lauren will do the mirrors...

Well, it was worth a try. I miss you and think of you every day. Happy Birthday dad.

Love always and until I see you again-

Jaclyn
