This is their version of normalcy

Meanwhile, CNN has this recent footage of crack downs by the Military on peaceful protesters.

I don't have to say anything. You can see that the soldiers from what seems like Light Battalion 66 are just senselessly beating the people they detained.

Also, the look on the face of the person sending out the orders is priceless. The more innocent people he detains, the fatter his end of year bonus probably will be. Notice how he is nice and chubby and well fed?

Protesters are said to be held in a windowless garage in Insein. There are rumoured to be around 2000 held captive.

Those who were just randomly arrested from the sidewalks are said to be able to go free, provided that their family members are able to pay 200,000 kyats (around USD 150) to the soldiers. I guess the Generals are always going to benefit from the helpless state of the innocent.

Meanwhile, even though Mr. Gambari has met with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, she is still under house arrest.

Bonjour Moe Moe,
I see that the news always moves in the same direction…
for my part I heard today apparently many soldiers Burmese refused to shoot at the monks and fled Burma…

I do not know if it is a little hope or at least small traces of humanity which lets hope that the man is not always a wolf for the man…

I always think of you

I am an Indian and I am deeply sorry for all the events that have occurred.Foreign countries can never be friends, they are only guided by their interests. So the Burmese people have to do this alone.A time comes in everybody's life where they get a chance to determine their own and their country's future. Its your chance now.Godspeed.

"Posted by Friend"...The people of Burma have almost no tools to remove the oppression of the ruling junta. They need help from the outside. The talking heads will do no good, as the UN has done no good. Strong military action by India, Thailand and one or two other nations is what it is going to take to support the Burmese people in their quest for freedom and the rule of law. Sorry to have to say this but sometimes ugly blunt force is the only thing that has a chance of working. The junta is counting on most nations being cowards and only acting in their own interest, the beated and bloodied people of Burma, be damned. SAD!
