Good vs Evil

Have you signed the petition to the UN on behalf of the Burmese people? Please do so, if you have not. http://www.petitiononline.com/9848/

Bloody grounds @ Ngwe Kyar Yan Monastery in Yangon after the raid by soldiers

So, the Burmese Military Regime has thrown Daw Aung San Suu Kyi into Insein Jail (She hasn't even done anything this time but pray with the monks - you see, you can't even pray in Burma) , killed a BBC Reporter (on purpose or not, I do not know), beaten and taken several monks at night - some were beaten with shoes (which is like an ultimate sin, kinda). Witnesses said there were lighting flashes after they did that, even though there was no rain. I think the people of Burma would like to believe that Thagyar Min (King of the Celestials) is going to come down from Heaven and strike these soldiers down. Where are you, Thagyar Min?

It brought tears to my eyes when I read that the monks, after being beaten and shot at and tear gassed, told the civilians not to partake anymore because they were going to do this themselves and that they were praying for the soldiers, sending them metta and loving kindness.

Good deeds always bite you in the ass.

Can I get a witness? We just want some dialogue

I don't know what to do. Everyone keeps saying - "you can't do anything, so don't worry about it so much"

I have never really liked Laura Bush - I guess I'm just biased on the fact that she is married to and have offsprings with Mr. Dubya - but I have to agree with her request at the soldiers and riot police following the orders of the Military Regime to beat and jail the monks and innocent civilians.

I was asking my grandma - why some of the soldiers are wearing scarfs around their necks (the colors of the scarves I saw the soldiers wear were coincidentally orange and yellow - similar to the colors of the robes of the Buddhist monks). My Grandma said they were commandos. I can't believe they sent commandos to shoot dowm peaceful protesters. No, I mean, I can believe it, they are pretty underhanded but you know, just saying.

Commandos, please stop shooting at people simply just because you are ordered. Turn around and tell the fat general with a pot belly (isn't it a surprise that you, the soldiers who do their bidding are poor and scrawny, while the ones who give the orders are fat with bellies?) that you won't do it. Don't do it. Please stop.

If we all unite, no one can bring us down. Please, soldiers, drop your weapons and join the civilians and monks in the quest for freedom.
