The inbenevolence of the Burmese Junta

In shocking news yesterday I learned that the Burmese Junta has finished drawing up its Constitution that was supposed to be the first step in its 7 steps roadmap to democracy.
Let's see - the first step took 14 years.

so 14 x 7 = 98 years.

In 98 years, I'll be dead and will not be able to live in a democratic Burma. How sad. Maybe I shall leave a will when I pass away - instructing a young person to do things one could do in a democratic country, so that I can rest in peace. lol. But serious, ya'll. How long is this 7 steps to roadmaps to democracy going to take?

Also, could you read this article on the 14 year old National Convention from Mizzima tell me the article is not funny?

The junta on Friday concluded the first step of its so-called 'seven-point roadmap to democracy,' and in a gesture of benevolence, awarded its senior delegates, attending the convention since its inception, permits to import vehicles, the source said.

The junta only gifted permits to those delegates attending the convention since 1993. But delegates attending the convention from 2003 were not similarly treated, the source said.

The junta had no love for those who joined after 2003.... How inbenevelonent!

There was widespread resentment and discontent among the convention delegates since they were not treated equally, the source added.

These delegates are such babies! Can you hear them whining: "Democracy be damned! I want to import a car from overseas!" *cries*

Apparently this constitution is suppose to calm the crowds of Burmese people sick of being treated like animals. And these same people would trust them because??????

I want to read this constitution! I mean, what does this constitution entail? Will it allow all living in the country to get free permits to import cars? vehicles?

What about freedom? human rights? health care? education? economy? electricity? is it strategic?

Should I just draft my own constitution and propose that they use it?

What am I saying, they are not going to listen to me.

Or maybe they might, if I gave them permits to import cars.

Does anyone have any hook ups with car dealers?
