Goodbye, for now

Dear Dad,
everyone misses you. I love you so much. I know you are resting in peace now. I wish we had more time. But I want you to know, you are so well loved and will be so well missed (I don't think people in peninsula Plaza, Singapore will ever be the same again without your generous, good natured presence).

Everyone asks me how I'm doing. I can't explain the hollowness inside, so I just say I'm ok. Everything reminds me of you.

If we ever meet in other lives, I hope we will be very very good friends.

Ma Moe,

I'm so sorry to hear that. It's so sudden I still can't believe it. I can't imagine what you and your family are going through.

I'll never forget the times he would take me around Singapore, his calmness and generosity and joy is so inspiring.

Please send my condolences to your Mom and Ma Me Me Saine as well. I'll call my dad immediately and inform him.

I was shocked to read about your dad; I really hoped he would recover. I'm very sorry about his passing, he was smart, warm and fun. I won't forget him either.
